I made acrylic frames for some of my ruined photos. By bending the acrylic plate on the place where the photo was overexposed, I transformed the “bad part” into unique character.

I tried to touch the issue of facing sad memories by exploring the process of how to preserve ruined things. People tend to depress their emotion when they encounter sad events or experience vicarious traumatic events. Depressing could be a necessary strategy for people to come back to their daily life, but I feel that discarding all “bad things” will only leave people an empty shell. Therefore, I tried to find out proper methods to preserve sad memories.
